  Legislation Deadline

  Legislation will be due on Sunday, November 4th at 11:59pm CST.  This gives you a little more time to work on your legislation.  Legislation will be due to Mickey at glacurh@gmail.com.  If you have any ideas or questions about legislation, ask any member of the RBD including your RCC's and they will be happy to help you.

  4 Year Service Award Applications

4 Year Service Award applications are now available. This is a great way to recognize someone for their continued service to the GLACURH/NACURH community, as well as your own school's Residential Life Program.

To be able to receive a pin, you must:

  • Recipients must be a student at a GLACURH member school in good standing to be eligible.
  • Recipient must have been in his/her campus residence life for at least four (4) years. This need not be consecutive years, but four (4) years total. They may also be at different institutions if all other criteria are met.
  • Recipient must have had at least two  (2) years involvement with his/her campus residence hall government. The other two (2) may be in other residential life capacities (resident assistant, desk attendant, program assistant, etc.)
  • Recipient must have attended at least four (4) GLACURH related conferences. These need not be consecutive, just total conferences attended. At least one of these has to be a GLACURH regional conference. GLACURH related conferences include the GLACURH conference, the NACURH conference, and the No Frills conference.
The application is due on November 1st by 11:59pm CST, to Mickey by fax at 312-413-4081.  He will accept scanned images of the application as well as long as all the signatures are there on the application. 
 
 
 
  2007 GLACURH CC Apparel

Hey GLACURH!!! The 2007 GLACURH CC Apparel is ready for purchase. This year we will be offering blue hooded sweatshirts. The hooded sweatshirts are available only for NCCs and NRHH-CCs. The cost of the hoodie is $15.75 a piece and payment is due upon ordering. The design for the sweatshirt is still being developed and once it is finalized it will be released for your viewing pleasure. The sweat shirts will be handed out on Friday night of GLACURH during business.

All orders must be received by Robert Wolinski (IL RCC) by October 31st, not postmarked by the 31st. Also both NCC and NRHH-CC orders must be on the same order form.

 
 
 
  Regional Committees

Here is a list of committees that will be created in the region this year and the RBD member(s) to contact in order to join.

Public Relations - Work with Kirt Jones and Bob Love to advertise and promote GLACURH and NACURH to current member schools in the region, as well as prospective schools!

RCC Structure - This committee will look at the strengths and weaknesses of our current rbd/rcc structure. Contact Mickey Collins or Chuck Ringer to join.

Recognition/Unity - Working to create a more unified region through spirit at business meetings, recognition of those CCs who are awesome, and other things you can think of! Contact Rob Wolinski or Nick Tereck to start recognizing.

GLACURH in the Halls - An on going committee from last year, this committee tries to make programming that can be done throughout all of GLACURH to help our region grow. There are a variety of ways to work with this committee! Contact Nick Tereck to get GLACURH in the Halls.

Diversity - Work together to discuss issues that effect your campus, and how to better residence life throughout the region whether it is through PR, programming, or ideas for roundtable discussions for RHAs to use back on their campus! If interested, contact Adam Hofer.

General Legislation -Do you have ideas for helping the region run more smoothly? Want to help the region progress? If so, contact Kenny Brotheridge or Chuck Ringer.
